LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS No 44(T) of 2016

Cowes Inner Fairway Realigned 4A Beacon and Small Craft Channel Buoys Re-positioned
22 July 2016

Notice is hereby given that the 4A beacon has been driven approximately 20m NNW of its original charted position. The Inner Fairway now consists of two legs pivoting at number 4 buoy, the first course being 155/355 between No2 and No 4 buoys and the second leg being 153/333 between No 4 and No 6 buoys.

Mariners are advised that the navigable depth of water in the fairway reduces to 2m below chart datum on the eastern extremity of the fairway and deeper draught vessels should navigate with caution near spring low water periods.

The pair of yellow special marks at the western end of the small craft channel have been re-positioned so as to be equidistant between the adjacent small craft channel buoys.
